I am so excited to announce my first ever mini photo sessions! I’ve had several requests for some kind of smaller session package like this and it is an AWESOME deal! My fans on facebook got a heads up first (get on there and like me! ) last week and I’ve already booked three of the spots so now there are actually only 8 left! I still have all of the Friday sessions available (times are between 8 a.m. and 12:30) and two of the sunday sessions left (between about 6:00 and 7:30 p.m.). I chose these dates to make sure I have plenty of time to edit all of the pictures, post them, burn the CDs, design your holiday cards, order it all and get it to you by Thanksgiving week - just in time for the holidays. Call or email me if you want to book or have any other questions! If these go as well as I’m planning, I am hoping to offer another round of mini’s in the spring also!

*I forgot to add that 5×7 PRINTS OF ALL TEN IMAGES ON THE DISC ARE INCLUDED also!! Even better!!

I am so so so happy that I get to have a whole year of sessions with these guys and their little baby girl when she gets here! They were so sweet and bubbly and seemed to just be overflowing with happiness. Combined with *perfect* light and a beautiful location - it just doesn’t get any better!

Did you miss me?? I know it has been quite a while since I last posted! It has been so so hard to put off blogging for a while while I get things caught up but I just couldn’t wait any longer to post pictures from this awesome awesome wedding! Brittany has been so patient waiting for me to get these up so hopefully it will be worth the wait for her! They definitely had a memorable wedding! We’ve all been to weddings that are kind of stuffy and formal, but Matt and Brittany really made things fun for everyone. They have such a great sense of humor and they had so many funny and light-hearted moments the entire day.It’s been keeping me smiling while I finish up their pictures and I know none of their guests will forget how much fun this wedding was! So here is just a small sample of the day!

I will say it again - I have been so lucky to get the seniors I’ve gotten this year! They have all been just amazing. It really brings back memories from when I was a teenager, but unlike all of these girls - I was SO shy and unfashionable and unfortunately hadn’t discovered the magic of a hair straightener yet. I dreaded getting my senior pictures made and panicked the morning I had to get them done because it was raining. My pictures were indoors, but still, naturally curly hair + no straightener = frizzy me! You couldn’t have paid me money to change my clothes outside and I guarantee I wouldn’t have been smiling if I had sweated like all these girls have had to in all of this summer heat! So I must give them props for being SO incredibly easy to work with and agreeable and just going with the flow. Especially Katie here. She didn’t flinch no matter how tall the weeds were or how many bugs she saw and how many times I made her hike through some massive field of overgrown plants just to get to a pretty spot.

You might remember this little cutie from his three-month sesssion (the picture of him in the little green tub is still one of my all time favorites :)). He’s still got those gorgeous blue eyes and just the happiest demeanor. So full of smiles!! Even after we had to reschedule first for rain, then when he got chicken pox :(. He actually got sick again the week before this session but luckily, he couldn’t have been better when the day finally rolled around!

We took him to play in the sprinklers for a few shots and to give him a break from the heat. There’s just something so adorable about a baby wrapped up in a towel - especially him! :)

Yet another amazingly photogenic and gorgeous senior! She was completely a natural in front of the camera too - before I could even tell her how to pose, she would already look perfect! I was so happy that even in the awful heat, she was still totally up for my crazy ideas to trek all around the park, climb back into all of these spots with big weeds and lay in the grass. I think it was worth it to get to the best lit spots and into the prettiest scenery and I hope she thinks so too!

So any of you who are fans on facebook have already gotten to see the new man in my life but if you haven’t here he is! My new nephew Silas! He actually isn’t quite so “new” anymore - he’s already over a month old but with my sister-in-law living out of town, it took a while to finally get some time to make it up there. He was just awesome. Perfectly sleepy and quiet. It’s pretty difficult to pose babies this age, but he curled up with no problems! I could’ve stayed and played all day. I did get to visit too and give him a bottle (haven’t done that in almost 8 years believe it or not! ) and I have to say, I miss it so much! And then he fell asleep “tree-frog” style as my SIL calls it, on my chest. If it hadn’t been time to drive back home, I could’ve conked out myself. A baby sleeping on your chest is just the most peaceful thing you can ever experience. So now, I’ll let his pictures do all the talking so you can see how precious he is!

I confess, I am slightly behind on my blogging again! I apologize. I am counting the days until the bus pulls up and takes my girls back to school! I love them and I can honestly say they have been wonderful for me this summer considering they’ve seen more of the back of my head staring at the computer screen than they’ve seen my actual face :). I will miss them like crazy when they go back to school but at least then I will be able to finally catch up on all of this work! So I thank them, and all of you for being so patient with me!

I have been especially anxious to blog this session I had with these beautiful kids. They were all so sweet and fun to work with especially considering I made them get up at 9 a.m. on a summer morning (if it were me when I was that age, you were lucky to see my face before noon during the summer! :)). I don’t get to work with older kids very much so that was a fun change too. These guys were SO good with their little sister and super talented. I got to hear J play his oboe (I admit, I thought it was a clarinet though ;)) and T play his violin. And I’m not talking play like a kid who is just learning - these guys could give concerts! It was amazing how good they were. I can only imagine how much talent little miss J will have when she’s that age!

And yes, I am rolling out a new logo!! I’ve been working on it for a while and finally came up with something I like - whaddya think?? I’m hoping to unveil a new website for the new year too so stay tuned!

This was hands down one of my favorite sessions of the year. Kirsten was awesome to work with. Not only is she gorgeous (I don’t see how she doesn’t think so!!), but rarely do I have somebody I have to try hard to get to NOT smile! She was laughing and smiling the whole time. Especially when she noticed her mom posing behind me the way Kirsten was without realizing she was doing it. It got us a great laughing picture! Her mom also made me aware of the fact that I apparently do this thing when I get a really good shot where I kind of shrug my shoulders and grin really big when I look at the preview on the camera after I take it. She said she kept noticing when I did that and got really excited every time I did it :). Which was ALOT! Here’s why!!
